The goal of this project is to increase awareness, promote usage, and make the Greenwich Forest Garden available as an educational resource for science and social justice. We think the Forest Garden could be more useful if it was better explained and better publicized. We will fix this, in the form of pamphlets, our blog, a revamping of the Forest Garden's website and Hampedia page, and maps. These can allow us to make it easier for people to hear about the garden, easier to find the garden, easier to learn about how to use the garden, and easier to find specific plants in the garden. We think this will make the garden more useful.

gigantomap

it's 11X17 inches at 300ppi so it's big. Planning to get this printed at duplications after break, like full size so we can check it out. There may be some modification depending upon how much info I get from the sign people about where they're going to place plants, and as we do the more detailed mapping with Ned later in the year (?) I will probably have more information to put on this.

Again, the idea of the graphic map is to give people an idea of 1, how much there actually is in the forest garden- there are a lot of paths in there! and 2, generally where the paths go. It also is supposed to pique your interest- it looks like a cool place to explore when you can see all the paths, but with little emphasis on accuracy or detail.

Should be cool.

Sortable Plant Table source

I've published the js and css to github. I'm using mostly DataTable's works and will use their license likely.

Le Graphic Map version 2

newish map... this one is meant to be bigger and has thinner lines so I could get more details onto it... I want there to be a key somewhere, I left space on the right. I imagine the key and the map including positions of plants possibly with help of the sign team...
The QR links to this site.
should be cool.

Forest Garden Map Draft

This is my first map of the forest garden. The idea for this is that there will be a smaller overview version with less content (this one) and a larger more detailed one with far far more information. That version is waiting on said information. I want to include locations of plants and possibly uses of plants.
